Blog Post #4

Date and time: Monday, October 31 at 3:32

Length of day: 10 hours 21 minutes

Temperature: 58 and felt like 58.

Climate Conditions: Totally overcast, 3 mile an hour south west wind, nice steady drizzle.

Notes: Field study was exceptionally boring today, saw nothing but a few birds flitting about. Weather is quite nasty to sit in as its not quite cold, theres not much breeze and its exceptionally humid which I hate. All I saw as far as wild life other than birds go was a squirrel up in a tree for a few brief seconds. He climbed in and out of view quickly.

Changes Noted since last Study: What few deciduous trees are in the area of my field study have lost most of their leaves, ferns are still dead unsurprisingly, there is still some green grass. Not much other than that has changed that is noticeable.

  1. You need to walk around a bit if you're getting bored! Your spot has some good stuff...and you're certainly not seeing all of it! Any patterns in the leaf color change or the leaf fall? Lots of birds? All same type? Squirrel nest? Fungi? Tracks?
